Maybe you suffer from imposter syndrome and worry that you’re never good enough for that next promotion, that new relationship, or other exciting opportunities. Perhaps you work in a very competitive industry and find it hard to self-regulate or achieve a healthy work-life balance. Or maybe you’re navigating ageism in the workplace, and you feel like you have to work extra hard just to get the same rewards and recognition as your peers.
You might struggle with procrastination, burnout, and sleep disturbances. For the first time, maybe you’re thinking that it’s time to talk to a therapist about your anxiety.
Anxiety Can Quickly Become A Burden That Weighs Down Every Area Of Your Life
You might find yourself lying awake at night, your mind racing with negative thoughts about work deadlines or relationship issues. During the day, perhaps you struggle to focus on tasks—you’re always second-guessing decisions and constantly feeling overwhelmed by your to-do list. Social situations become minefields of potential embarrassment, leading you to withdraw from friends and colleagues. This cycle of negative thinking and avoidance can leave you feeling stuck, unable to fully engage in your life or reach your true potential.

If you want to break out of these cycles and start living with more confidence, I encourage you to consider counseling with me. Through my compassionate, evidence-based approach to therapy, I’ll offer support so that you can reduce your anxiety and work toward a more courageous and empowered life.

Anxiety Is A Natural Byproduct Of Our Stressful, Fast-Paced Modern World
We live in a culture that’s obsessed with success and achievement. And while there’s nothing wrong with being driven, many people today are so burnt out and overworked from trying to get ahead that they have no room for relaxation in their lives.

This is especially the case in the highly competitive tech and startup industries, which are so prevalent in the San Francisco Bay Area. There is intense pressure to work overtime, level up, and become a success story at a young age, which can lead to chronic stress and fatigue for many people.
What’s more, this fast-paced tech culture often glorifies stress and overwork, making it hard to prioritize mental health. Many people are taught to “power through” anxiety as if it’s a personal weakness rather than a treatable condition. They often resort to overworking—among other unhealthy coping mechanisms—to combat their anxiety, which only makes it worse in the long run.
The LGBTQ+ Community Suffers Disproportionately From Anxiety
Our world is currently full of social and political uncertainties, and no one is hit harder by these uncertainties than those in the LGBTQ+ community. Studies have shown that people with an LGBTQ+ identity suffer from anxiety and depression at higher rates than their non-LGBTQ+ counterparts.* None of this is surprising when you consider that queer, trans, and nonbinary folx often face harassment, discrimination, and lack of acceptance from friends and family. Many of them don’t have supportive figures they can turn to in times of distress.

This is why the need for therapy is so paramount. As a counselor, I provide an LGBTQ+ affirming space where people who struggle with anxiety can experience the compassion and acceptance that they can’t find in the outside world.
My Approach To Anxiety Therapy Is Deeply Empowering, Evidence-Based, And LGBTQ+ Affirming
When living in survival mode and feeling anxious is all you’ve ever known, it’s hard to imagine that you could ever feel differently. But as someone who’s worked extensively with clients suffering from anxiety, I’m here to say that radical transformation is possible. With the right support and the right tools, you can manage anxiety effectively and move toward a fuller, more peaceful life. You will gain a deeper understanding of your anxiety, develop more effective coping strategies, improve your relationships, increase your self-confidence, and achieve a better work-life balance.

All of this is possible through the power of therapy. I provide a safe, LGBTQ+ affirming space where you can freely work through your stressors without worrying about how you’ll be perceived. Whether your anxiety is related to work, social challenges, relationship issues, a specific phobia, or anything else, my approach to therapy can help you find healing and relief.
What To Expect In Anxiety Counseling Sessions
In our work together, you and I will dive into your story to understand the root causes of your anxiety. We'll explore your personal history, current stressors, and thought patterns that contribute to anxiety. We'll also look at your values and aspirations, using these as a compass to guide our work.

In my practice, I draw from a blend of evidence-based approaches and will give you a wide range of skills to help you manage anxiety in day-to-day life. We can use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to challenge and reframe anxious thoughts, Exposure Therapy techniques to gradually face situations that provoke anxiety, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to clarify your values and align your actions with what truly matters to you.
I also leverage mindfulness and meditation practices to help you ground yourself in the present moment, as well as deep breathing and muscle relaxation exercises to support your nervous system. Ultimately, no matter what kind of hold anxiety has over your life today, I am confident that you can get to a place where you are calmer, more regulated, and more at peace with your life. My mission is to give you the tools, skills, and knowledge to get there, ensuring that you have the necessary support to lean on as you journey toward a more confident and vibrant life.
You May Have Some Questions About Anxiety Therapy…
Won’t talking about my anxiety just make it worse?
It's a common misconception that talking about anxiety will make it worse. In reality, the opposite is true. By working in a safe, supportive environment, we'll work to reduce the intensity of your experience so that you can start to understand your anxiety’s roots and patterns. This understanding is crucial for developing effective coping strategies. Think of it like untangling a knot—at first the knot may seem incredibly complicated, but once you start to unravel it, the process gets easier and easier. It’s the same way with discussing anxiety—taking that first step requires tremendous courage, but once it’s done, you’re that much closer to experiencing relief.
I work in a high-pressure industry. Won’t reducing my anxiety make me less productive?
Managing your anxiety can significantly improve your productivity and success. Chronic anxiety often leads to burnout, indecision, and avoidance—all of which can hinder your work performance. By learning to manage anxiety effectively, you'll likely find you have more energy, clearer focus, and improved decision-making skills. Many of my clients in high-pressure tech roles report that therapy helps them perform better under stress, communicate more effectively, and achieve a better work-life balance.
I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t help. How will this be different?
It's important to know that not all therapy approaches or therapist-client relationships are the same. My approach is tailored to each individual client, focusing on practical strategies and measurable progress. We'll start by discussing what didn't work for you before and what you're hoping to achieve now. I use evidence-based techniques specifically effective for anxiety and I believe that, by working together, we can find something that works for you!
Anxiety Does Not Define You

If this is the case, I’m here to tell you that there’s another way to live.
